Lovely have just seen this - didn't know his badge was there or I would have hunted it out to see when I was employed there! I'm Richard's GGG Niece and was myself the secretary/treasurer of the association 1999-2001 and developed the original website which went live on the 77th anniversary of the Assn. Richard was the second to last Canterbury Pilgrim to die (1944), Buried in Ashley St, St John's cemetery. I have family tree information if anyone is searching. He's an interesting blogpost mentioning him also. https://marapito.blogspot.com/2008/11/our-history-may-be-somewhat-closer-than.html
