Part of a group acquisition: Collection of carpenter's tools; belonged to Samuel Manson.
Includes 13 planes; with irons; 6 gouges; 9 chisels; 3 screwdrivers; collection of bits; 2 gauges; glass cutter; 2 wad punches; spoke shave; cutting gauge; 2 spirit levels; tack hammer; 2 saws;saw set and facing off block; hand- forged tongs and pair of small pliers; compass; set of taps and dies in wooden case; set of leather awls in container; clamp; tool branding stamp "S. Manson". Small Kauri tool chest (not S. Manson's); brass shot measure.
