Description
Three clear glass models showing development of a hydrozoan coelenterate. One model is of a jellyfish-like animal featuring a 2 layer bell fringed with over one hundred tentacles of varying lengths. Has four yellow radial rows on glass branches on the inner layer of the bell. Mounted on a wire rod with a circular wooden base. Second model is a clear glass model of a sessile hydrozoan with six polyp-like zooids on a central stem (stolon) which terminates in a tulip-shaped body. Third model is a clear glass bell-like medusa with four blobs around lower rim. Made by Leopold and Rudolf Blaschka between 1863 and 1882.
