Description
One circular coin. Obverse upper outer circumference presents six Chinese characters 中華民國三年 (the third year of the Republic of China or 1914) surrounding a central profile portrait of Yuan Shikai. Reverse upper outer circumference presents six Chinese characters 每十枚當一圓 (ten such coins equal one yuan) surrounding central wreath motif within which are two Chinese characters 一角 (one jiao).
