I just wish to add information in relation to this handbag and its manufacture. My father & mother established Huntley Leathergoods in Christchurch NZ in the late 1950's through to the mid 1970's making high quality genuine leather handbags. I also worked there after leaving school until moving to run a billfold and wallet manufacturing company. We used the very best of leathers from New Zealand and overseas that included snake, lizard, crocodile with many of the bags also leather lined. We had products on display in a "Best of New Zealand" at Ballantynes department store at one time. There is also a snakeskin bag listed at Te Papa.
