One landscape black and white photograph of Grasmere Station, Canterbury. Image shows a man sitting on a rock in the foreground to the left. In the rest of the image a large tussock covered valley stretches into the distance where snow capped mountains can be seen. A station house, road and fencing occupy the centre of the image. Inscribed underneath the photograph is 'A. J. H.' and 'Grasmere Station. Property of G. J. Hawdon. Sept. 1872'.
