Description
One landscape-format black and white photograph of a photograph. In the image men can be seen lining both sides of a street, at the end of the street on a plant-covered arch hangs a sign that reads 'God Bless Prince Alfred'. Men to the left of the arch hold oars upright and flags crossed. In the background to the right the masts of a ship can be seen. Inscribed in the photograph in the lower left corner reads 'Monday[? illegible] 22/4/69'. Inscribed below the photograph is 'Triumphal Arch, Lyttelton. Created by the boatmen. Prince Alfred.'
