Description
One landscape format black and white photograph of a plant-covered triple archway in Cashel Street, Christchurch April 23 1869. The arch is in the centre of the street which is lined with stores. Two men are standing under the arch with another man and horse and dray visible to the right. There are flags atop the arch and across the street in the distance. A store frontage with a sign that reads "Saddle and Harness Maker" is visible in the foreground to the right. Photograph inscribed "Duke of Ed visit" underneath.
