Description
Official souvenir cover of the New Zealand Health Stamps, 1949, printed with a drawing of children fishing and the words 'Health stamps send children to health camps'. Two New Zealand Postage and Revenue stamps are affixed to the envelope: one penny (sold for one and a half pence) and two pence (sold for three pence). The proceeds above postage were donated to the New Zealand Federation of Health Camps. Postmarked 'CHRISTCHURCH C.I. N.Z 3OC4911 AM' on the front of the envelope, and 'TAITAPU N.Z. 5OC49 I' on the back of the envelope. Enclosed is a note from May and Percy Browne.
