Commemorative cover of the New Zealand Peace Stamps. Eleven New Zealand Postage and Revenue Peace stamps are affixed to the envelope: half penny (Lake Matheson); one penny (Parliament House, Wellington); one and a half pence (St Paul's, London, 'This was their finest hour'); two pence (In peace, long may they reign); three pence (NZRAF); four pence (NZ onward); five pence; six pence (Freedom from Fear and Want, Onward); eight pence (Their name liveth for evermore); nine pence (Southern Alps from chapel window, Waiho Gorge); and one shilling (National Memorial Campanile Wellington). A registered mail stamp 'R No. 832 Director-General, G.P.O., W'gton, C.1.' is also affixed. Three postmarks reading 'WELLINGTON C.I. N.Z 1AP.46.1' are on the front of the envelope, and 'TAITAPU N.Z 4AP46 I' is on the back of the envelope.
