Description
Souvenir cover for the Canterbury Centennial International Philatelic Exhibition. The envelope is printed with a sketch of the John Robert Godley statue titled 'Founder of Canterbury' and a sketch of Mt Cook. It is printed with the words 'Support CANPEX - Christchurch, 18-25th November,1950.' A one penny New Zealand Postage, Revenue and Health stamp is affixed to the envelope and postmarked 'CHRISTCHURCH C.I. N.Z. 11-AM 4 OCT 1950' and 'BUY HEALTH STAMPS FOR HEALTH CAMPS' on the front of the envelope. The back of the envelope is postmarked 'TAITAPU N.Z. 5OC50 I'.
