Description
Official Souvenir Cover for the Canterbury Centennial International Philatelic Exhibition, 1850-1950, Christchurch, 18th-25th November 1950. Three New Zealand Postage and Revenue Canterbury Centennial 1850-1950 stamps are affixed to the envelope: one penny titled 'The Cathedral Christchurch', three pence titled 'John Robert Godley Founder of Canterbury' and six pence titled 'Canterbury University College'. Postmarked 'PHILATELIC EXHIBITION CHRISTCHURCH C.I. N.Z. 20 NO 50. 1' on the front of the envelope and 'TAITAPU N.Z. 24NO50 1' on the reverse of the envelope. A note stating 'Congratulations on your success with your stamps. N. Fletcher' is enclosed.
