Description
Commemorative cover of Niuean stamps 'Commemorating the Coronation of Their Majesties King George VI and Queen Elizabeth - Long May They Reign'. Three Niue Postage and Revenue stamps are affixed to the envelope: one penny, two and a half pence, and six pence, all titled '12th May 1937'. Each stamp was originally printed as New Zealand postage, but they have all been overprinted with 'NIUE'. Postmarked 'NIUE [illegible]' on the front of the envelope and ''TAITAPU N.Z. 12JE37 1' on the reverse of the envelope. A registered mail stamp is also affixed to the envelope, printed 'R No. 1182 NIUE'.
