Description
First day cover of the New Zealand Health Stamps, 1938, printed with a drawing of a boy and a girl and the words 'Health and Safety First'. A New Zealand Postage Health one penny stamp is affixed to the envelope. The stamp sold for two pence and the proceeds above postage were donated to children's health. The postmark on the front is mostly illegible but does read 'N-Z 1938' and the reverse of the envelope is postmarked 'TAITAPU N.Z 3 OC 38'. A business card inside the envelope reads 'Prescott Jensen Esq., President Y.M.C.A. Philatelic Society'.
