First day cover of the New Zealand Health Stamps, 1943, printed with a drawing of a young boy. '1942' has been stroked out, and '1943' printed beneath it. Two New Zealand Postage Health stamps are affixed to the envelope: one penny (sold for one and a half pence) titled 'H.R.H. Princess Margaret' and two pence (sold for three pence) titled 'H.R.H. Princess Elizabeth'. The proceeds above postage were donated to children's health. Postmarked 'AUCKLAND C.I. - N.Z. 1 OC 43. 4-PM' on the front of the envelope and 'TAITAPU N.Z 4 OC 43 2' on the reverse of the envelope. The envelope is stamped 'Messrs. Pim & Co., Philatelists, 3'0 Chancery Chambers, Auckland, C.I.'
