Description
Official first day cover of ANZAC Day - Commemorating the Landing of Allied British, Australian and New Zealand Forces, 1936, printed in green with the emblem of the New Zealand Returned Soldiers Association. Two conjoined half penny New Zealand Postage stamps titled 'NZRSA ANZAC Twenty First Anniversary 1915 - 1936' are affixed to the envelope. The stamps were sold for one penny with the proceeds above postage going to the New Zealand Returned Soldiers Association. Postmarked 'CHRISTCHURCH N.Z. 27.AP.36 445PM' on the front of the envelope and 'TAITAPU N.Z. 28AP36I' on the reverse of the envelope.
