Description
Official first day cover of ANZAC Day - Commemorating the Landing of Allied British, Australian and New Zealand Forces, 1936, printed in green with the emblem of the New Zealand Returned Soldiers Association. A half penny New Zealand Postage stamp is affixed to the envelope titled 'NZRSA ANZAC Twenty First Anniversary 1915 - 1936'. The stamp was sold for one penny with the proceeds above postage going to the New Zealand Returned Soldiers Association. Postmarked 'CHRISTCHURCH N.Z. 27.AP.36 530PM' on the front of the envelope and 'TAITAPU N.Z. 28AP36' on the reverse of the envelope. A form letter from the N.Z.R.S.A. is enclosed.
