Description
Official first day cover of Western Samoa Pictorial Stamps, 1935, printed with a photograph of a 'Native Village, Samoa'. A half penny Western Samoa Postage and Revenue stamp titled 'Samoan Girl and Kava Bowl' is affixed to the envelope. Postmarked 'APIA WESTERN SAMOA 7.AU.35.9' on the front of the envelope and 'TAITAPU N.Z. 21AU35I' on the reverse of the envelope. Enclosed is a pamphlet titled 'Description of Pictorial Stamps, Western Samoa, Issued August 7th, 1935'.
