One envelope with three postage stamps affixed, New Zealand Postage, two two pence stamps and a six pence stamp. Watermark large star, imperforate. Envelope addressed 'J.E. Wainhouse, Esq, Skircoat, Halifax, England. Via Marseilles'. Envelope with two postmarks on reverse side, one reading 'WELLINGTON NEW ZEALAND FE12 1864' and the other being illegible.
