Description
One postage stamp, New Zealand Postage and Revenue, one shilling. 'NIUE. Tahae Sileni.' is printed across the stamp. Cowan paper watermarked NZ and star, perforated 11. The correct Niuean equivalent of 'one' is 'taha e' but an error was made in the first sheet overprinted, the value being expressed as 'Tahae Sileni' which in the native language means 'thief shilling.'
