Description
One postage stamp, Samoa Postage, one shilling. 'PROVISIONAL GOVT.' is printed across the centre of the stamp. In June 1899, a commission representing Great Britain, the United States of America and Germany set up a provisional government and the contemporary stamps were overprinted for use pending the handing over of control.
