Description
Six conjoined postage stamps, New Zealand Postage and Revenue, one penny. Printed by Messrs Bradbury, Wilkinson and Company in sheets of 240 (10 rows or 24) on esparto paper. A double-sensitive ink was used. It changed colour when subjected to heat or to acid or alkaline agents. Perforated 14x13 1/2. Selvedge attached with '6' printed mid-way down the left edge.
