Stamps: New Zealand Four Pence.
Production date
1915-1916
Description
Twelve conjoined postage stamps, New Zealand Postage and Revenue, four pence. The 4d plate was exceptionally interesting because in two instances the wrong value was originally rolled in and when the mistakes were corrected by re-entry, traces of the wrong values remained. Row 1 number 6 was originally 4 1/2d and row 4 number 10 was 2 1/2d. The varieties are also found in violet. Selvedge attached. Additional detail drawing.
