One postage stamp, New Zealand Newspaper Postage, half penny. Designed by J Davies. Woodblock die cut at Melbourne. Surface-printed in sheets of 240 (20 rows of 12), from electrotypes made at the Government Printing Office, Wellington. The paper, which had been made for large size duty stamps, had a watermark of the letters NZ (16 x 6 mm) 100 times in the full sheet. Consequently, at least 120 stamps showed no watermark. Perforated 12 1/2.
