Description
One postage stamp, New Zealand Postage, one penny with postmark. Because of a shortage of the star paper the Government Stamp Printer purchased a supply of 'the best paper' he could procure in Auckland. This was a very thin, tough, unwatermarked paper known technically as 'pelure.' The first issue was imperforate. 1d, vermilion.
