Page: Heaton Rhodes Stamp Album

Description
One page titled '-1858- Provisional use of frank stamp. The paid marks supplied by the British Post Office in 1846 were used to indicate the prepayment of postage until 1855 when adhesive stamps were available for that purpose. The provisional use of the paid mark at New Plymouth in 1858 was evidently due to a temporary lack of adhesive stamps.' The page has one object affixed.
