Rakaia in June 79. .He accepted a call to Grey mouth in Sept. 82 Then he went to Meth ven where he 1e mar ed for ,20 years. an od resigned. Ang. 191. They gave him a purse of Sos . Though often described as FRGS in his lifetime, he was actually FGS - a Fellow of the Geological Society (of London) - elected in December 1884. He made studies of the rivers and hills of Canterbury that he sent to the society.
