Marks/Inscriptions: S. 603 Soren son, Henry Blyleven (1845-1923) was born in wyclef , Denmark and was educ. at the Waile High School in Jut land. He arrived in Dunedin in '62 and came on to Ch.Ch. in 64. He was for a time in as for a Ch.Ch an auctioneer. He stood unsuccess fully for the Ch.Ch. C.C. in Sept. 77. He was a merchant and he and W. Saunders were in part. in a large warehouse in Lichfield St. This and the contents were con up lecte destroyed by fire in Fib . 79. There was no word of any insurance. Evidently he was unable to cover from this for in Ap. 80 he assigned all his asset and went to the Otago oldfields. D Saunders was also remed as was his father Alfred Saunders He was a member of the Richmond Sch. Comm. and chairman of the house comm. of the Samaritan Dome. He was elected to the Ch.Ch.C.C. for the Richmond Ward in 45. He was a member and chairman of the Lylt. Harle. Bd dud of the Hop. Bd. He was consul for Denmark for the S. Island : and was Knight of the Oder of St. Olaf. He d. 13 5.23 ag. 77 wife Margt Bacon d. 26.6.40 ag. 95 both bur. Avonside Cem.
