Marks/Inscriptions: R. 174 Rhodes , Robert Heaton (1857- 1918) was the eldest son of George Rhodes of the Levels. When he was a baby seeping in a param at the Levels homestead , Tom Teschemaker passed close by, driving a mob of wild cattle. Alfred Cox Junr. managed for him and After him Charles Hendry (1890 -1906) Bob Rhodes was elected a member of the Ch.Ch. Club in 79. The Wiles father knew all the second generation Rhodes well and ho considered Bob was the most likeable and most able of them. He was educ at X5 Coll 6-74 was capt of the football and cricket teams and was later Pres. of the C.C.O. B.A. He went on to Exeter Coll Oxford. He was a member + chair man of the Waimate C C. She decided to take over Blue Cliffs . She manages the cattle on blue Cliffs and is a well known judge of Black Pols. She has written an excellent history of the Rhodes family, a le of Gull re Smith and is a very busy person in S.
