Marks/Inscriptions: F. 126 Prey, Rupert (1852 -1930) was certainly , the leading breeder of Shropshire i their tase in N.Z . They were in their day the most favour ed fat lamb breed. Their decline and fall was dire to the ridiculous fashion of breeding Wool right down to the nose . He lived al Kings dawn Timaru and was known every where as a breeder and judge. He was a member of the Com on, f the Timaru A. + P.
