Marks/Inscriptions: N. 138 Norman Edmund had An advert in the Lylt. Times 14.11.55 that he could supply accurate sketches of ( Lylt. and the Plaisir to parties wishing them. Dr Macmillan says that he was prospecting up the Waitaki for 6 months in '66 with no lick. His early paintings of Ch. Ch. are well known . He described him self ds a " Travelling Artist. He also died some surveying In June 75 he went to Burkes Pass from Sandon Station where lia had been liv ing. The next day he left Burkes Pass to re turn to Saw don and a fow hours later was found dead bey a bullock driver called eiph Walson in a place known as n the Jong cutting1 LT. 127.56 mentioned a very Accurate pen + ink drawing of Akaroa Harb. C. Farr Added the colour ng . The drawing was ,high Cy praised Timaru Held 5.9.66 ' Ecm and Norman prospecting for gold in Mackenzie County for 6 months. - results Edmund Nor man of Lylt. gent.
