With him were apparently s st pba ly Ann + Julia Neeve pres P his Kister. He was a son o Jonny and Ann Neeve . He set up his shop in Colombo St near the ( Sloss (ros roads. He w as one of the Stewards of the Anniversary Ball of '59. He was a member of the Comm . of the Mechani s Inst. 60-64. He designed and fabricated the t silver trowel with rory handle with which the foundation of the Prov. Coun. Cham Buildings were laid . Later he became a general importer s pec1als ing in non ion gery and farm in palemon ts In '67 pac had arr i. polemi depot in Glos. St. He stood for a vacancy in the ChCh. but with drew a few days before the election . Sept. 67. He had a large sale of surplus stock cp. 73 and soon after sold his business to J.H. Spencer marr. 19.3.60 Mary Eliz Baldwin sister or dau. of Joseph Baldwin in : she was a relation of the Baldwin s , famous ion founders of Eng and therefore of Stanley Baldwin. Ste may have brought him some money. He bought a fine property west of Waikari out of Horsley Down which he called Astro . X's Coll '78-80 X's Coll marr. 22.8.03 Lilli an 2' dau Thos Papprill , solicitor of Ch.Ch. Wm. + James farmed Astro in part. and sold out to a syndicate in about 1905 at a high price - about E30.per ac. James Little of Corriedale fame leased Allandale from Grays state and then bought a part of t and called it Dali ny Park . The part ut of il of Allandale left. barring a section bought F.D. Dalziel was bought o leased by Wm. Level Junr. t Amn outed to 1700 ac. He sold 600 ac to Barnett an d then got t bach on his hands. Then he sold it to a returned soldier , called Foster from Omihi. 1060 ac. remaining of Allandale were sold to Tanner an Auck. hardware merchant f . an acre by. Allan Wm. Papprill Neve a son of Wm Jun.v. A. W.P. Neeve retired to live at Amberley. Minson later bought W the business which ot had been Wm. Nees fame inf.
