Marks/Inscriptions: N.34 Needham, Samuel (1833-1905) was fore man of Wm. Montgomery timber Yard in Colombo St. While walking between two stacks of timber one of them collapsed and pinned him against the other. Duly one ari was free and with this he was able to free himself enough to be able to shout for help. He was alone in the yard at the time. Thos. Pavitt, owner of a near by timber yard and another man freed him . one ankle was broken. He was a member of the new Waltham Sch. Com m. Dec. 71. He wan elected to the Hills borough Sch. Com in . Oct. 73. He was a friend and neg L borro P. unca ur Thames St. and attended a dinner gwen by that firm to celebrate the completi on of a new building July '76. His widow Emily d.
