Marks/Inscriptions: o. 783 Mutu, Peter 1889) was R.H. Rhodes s butcher at Purau when he supplied Lylt. with meat; R.H.R. had a high opinio n of him . He was the father of the Rev. George Mite. He brought to Lylt. on a pack horse the remains of Dr Draper , brother of Mrs J.E . Fitz Gerald , who after losing his horse in the last stream of the Rangitata recrossed the worst streams on foot. as well as the Ash burton and Rakaia ; his body was found near Tan mutu.
