Marks/Inscriptions: H. 470 Hepworth, Edward Dillon probably came out in the Mystery which arrived 3.1.62 cabin (no initials given in pas. list. 16 was probably the +t son of Rev. R. Hep worth of Cheltenham , Glos. He was a member of the provisional comm. of the Northern A. + P.Assoc. in 66. He was elected an ensign of the Leithfield Co. of the Canty. vounteers in 66 . He had the Mt. Grey Brewery at this time. One of C.F. Pemberton s cadets volunteered to Reach him how to brew beer. - with disastrous financial res utes to both of them; the cadet was probably E.D. Hepworth. e entered 2 kegs of his Mr. Grey beer in the first Northern A. +P. Show and got Highly Commended. In Ap. 67 he had a clearing sale of stock at his brewer y - including 60 pigs. He was bankrupt soon after. He was Ho. Sc. of the Leithfield Races in '68. In '69 he was a member of a Christie Minstrel TroupE which performed a t local concerts in the Leithfield - Kowai dist. They called themselves the Noholty hist.els. He was bankrupt again in '69. and got his final discharge in Sept. 69. In evidence he said he got a small remittance romn England.
