Marks/Inscriptions: H. 453 Henrici , Adolph F ., commonly known as "Chips" was born at Hamburg and came to N.Z. in '44. He was destined by his father to be a linen draper. Instead he became a patch a Maori in the N.Is . He and one of his daus. Annie came to Akaroa and persuaded the res t to follow The Mai Wars drove them out. He built a whare on the hill between Akaroa oa Cem. and Green Point and had a workshop there. He was a first class carpenter and built good boats. He was also much as teemed as a medical adviser.
