Marks/Inscriptions: H. 176. Harman , Edward (1835- 1908) was came out in the Duke of Portland 2" voyage. 2' cabin arriving 21.10.52. He was gazetted a mining surveyor on the W. Coast June, 65. In Sept. 72 was gazetted asst. surveyor in the Lands + Survey office, Ch.Ch. served on Grand Jury Ch.Ch. 2.1.77. Dugald Macfarlane in his reminiscences says he met him at Rangiuru on the West Coast., surveying in '66. marr. 16.2.65 at St. Michaels by Rev. James Wilson Agnes Anna eldest dau. of John Shearing Willis of Haw ford , Opara, late of Cheltenham , surgeon He d. at Lane field, O paw.r 21.5.08 ag. 73 bur. Heathcote Opara. Widow Agnes Anna d.
