Marks/Inscriptions: L. 154 D.55y Harding , William (1841-88) came out to N.Z. in the Eastern Monarch with his wife Alice. He was coachman to J.J. Loe of Leeston and later to Walter spiny of the Southbridge Hotel. He took charge of the Zetland Arms stables in Ch. Ch in 84 . He was accidentally killed by a kick from a horse 8.2.08 ag 47 bur. Addn Cem. His widow alice who d. 1.10.16 ag. 73 marr. (2) Thos Durant. who d. 1918 5. of Sumner + St. Albans, son W. Handing , Traffic Inspector N.Z. Rlys. Wgtn. dau Mrs G.H. Jones of Leeston Rack by. Mis Durant d. at home of her dan Mrs Geo Jones Leeston + was bur. by the side of her first husband at Addn Cem. Addn. Cem.
