Marks/Inscriptions: H.9. Haddrell, Henry Thomas (1826- -98) was born at Richmond , Surrey and learned the trade of a printer. He came out in the Glenmark arriving 20.12.66 with his wife Eliz. and his family Walter, Lucy Mary , Frank and William. In '67 he pin chased from George Oram the Market Hotel in the Martel Sq. He was a cricket enthusiast and was an honorary member of the Midland Club. hp to 1896 he never mussed a match . He was also ford of coursing. In hs hotel a meeting was held 4.7.80 which resulted in the formation of the Working hens Club and the Mutual school of Arts. He was one of Geo rams pall - bear ess. His teniente of the same license must be near a record for Ch.Ch. in his time. But in 1920 Ben Pery renewed his license o the Occidental f r the 5o1 time. marr. in Eng. Elizabeth S haddock . She was b. 12.5.1822 d. 29.5.03 ag. 81 He d. at his home Market Hotel 14.12.98 ag. 72. He left a widow 3sons, 2 daus. both bur. Barbadoes St. Cem. dau. Eliz. Ann marr. sh Likes 5.4.73 Charles son of E.B. Collins Mary Jane 29.4.82 David Alexander Ashley son of Aaron Ashley , a miller. D.A. was a well known crick ter. sons Walter q.v. F Fear, Wlliam.
