Marks/Inscriptions: H.8 e, mund Hacon, Dr Walter Edward (1851 -98) was the son of a doctor and studied at Guys Hosp and had a distinguished care there . He was Res. M.O. at Warwick Asylum. He got his L.R.C.P. + M.R.C.S. in '72. He was attacked to Quien s Hosp Bun ngam and later to the Central London Lunatic Asylum , High gate. For 3 years he was Res. surgeon at the Bedford General Infirmary and Fever Hosp from there he went to York to be asst. M.O. at York Co. Lunati Asylum. He came out to Wgtn in the Zealandia in '79 and was surgeon to the Armed Constabulary , North Is., for a year and was then appointed to be in charg c of Smmy side Asylum . He was there till " and then went into private practice. He was kean on sanitary reforms and preventive medecins He procured fresh lymph and distributed it all over N.Z. He contributed various papers to medical journals. He was the founder of the Canty Branch f St. Johns Ambulance Assoc. 7 was a member of the Savidge Club. marr. St Pauls Carl eat Wgtn. 1.9.84 Margt.
