Marks/Inscriptions: G. 515 Guthrie, Robert ( 1920) was born in Ayres ire, Scot and was articled in Edinburgh to the legal profession. on account of his heath he withdrew from the study of law and travelled. in Canada and the Malay Archipelago . He returned to Scot. and came out to N.Z. in '76. chapel ago. in the coe(ic ; there were only 12 passengers who paid their way and received land grants. He settled down to station life on the Welds Station, Mackenzie Country. Fours years later he was appointed manager of Blain shie Station on the Opara Ferber Albury. Later he managed for J s . Rather ford The Mistake Statione of 80000 ac. for 10 years . In '93 he took up for himself the Inn known as Aris on which he ran 4000 cross bred stol sheep. He was a mem ber the Mackenzie Co. Co. and the Sch. Comm. . also an official of the Mackenzie Caledonia Soc. + A.+ P. Assoc. and a J.P. marr. '80 - Rolleston He d. Jar. 1920 7 sons 3 daus.
