He was among the well known early Methodists. When John Broughton transferred his T.S.+ , 14 ac in High Stret on which to build the first Methodist church , his name was am ong the purchasers. The others were Rev. James Wat kin. Rev. John Aldred , Chas Creed Call of Wgtn) Joseph Pattrick, Isaac Philpott, Rev. Wm Kirk of Lylt He settled at Papanui. rec. as lab. d. 1.6.95 at Wanganui ag. 84. son Wm. q.v.
