Marks/Inscriptions: T. 554 Griffiths . Rees (1831 -1903) was born at Cardiff. He settled at Broomfield near Amberley where he took up R.S. 7225 of 36 ac with some lease hold attached. He also bought a bush section on Mt. Grey. He called his farm Roslyn. He applied to be put on the electoral noll in a paul '6 marr. 16.4.67 Isabella Watson dau. of John Watson of Scotland. she came out in '64. He d. Ch.Ch. Hosp 24.10.03 ag. 72. both bur. w dow Isabella d. 26.1.22 ag. Balcairn Cem. at home of her son in-law J. Borgfeldt of Aikman s Rd. youngest dau. Mary Isabella (Marie) marr. 31.3.98 John eldest son of John Borgfeldt of Mansfield , Papanui . He was educ. Papanui farmed on his , landt fathers farm, March lands, for 5 years. Later he ought at Greneys Rd and farmed there for 12 years . After wards he lived for 5 years in Rangiora, 20 years at Marvel and 10 years at Ricc. He won a prize for his garden at Marv2ale.
