His house was the old beach house first occupied by George Rhodes . In '72 the old house was sold for £ 14. Later he owned the Timaru Temuka coaching run. alen he ran a coach service from Sohhidgr Ch.Ch. through Southbridge across the Rakaia at Dobbie Ford and on to an accommo house he had near Temuka. marr.
