Marks/Inscriptions: G. 840 Grierson Trevor James (1849-1913) was born 25.449 at Card if the scone son of John Grierson , draper and came out with his parents in the British Empire in '64. He became an accountant and went into part. with Arthur Morton Olliver in Ang. . They had their office in Hereford St. where Woolworth s now is. As a young man he went in for rowing and was elected a member of the Canty Rowing Club Sept. 68. He rowed in the pairs and reached the final in '69. He and Tom Dong as of Wards Brewery used to row to gether. He rowed in the James is "which was just beaten by the Black Eagle at the Ch.Ch. Regatta Dec. 70. He joined the Ch. Football Club Ap. 71. He was led go kapera of the B.N.Z in 72. He and Ollivier diss. part. Ap. 96. He went p up to Auck and went in for share rocking and mining business. While there he marr. 10.7.97 earmie Stephenson Graham a widow whore husband had been licensee of the Wairakei Springs Hotel. She may have persuaded him to go in for the liquor business. at dry rate he and Mark Davis went into part. in a wine and spit business in Ch.Ch. in 1901:. He d. 21.9.13 ag. 64 Widow d. 1 8 ag.
