Marks/Inscriptions: G.393 Greer, Tom (1839-1914) was a well- known publican of Ch.Ch. He returned frum a trip to Eng and took over the Sydenham Hotel. He had a unseeing which contained a genuine Laud seer; a set of Crown Derby which once belonged to Queen Charlotte ; vases from the Summnor Patan in Pekin . the cutlass. spectacles, pocket glas and walking stich of belonging to Capt. Cook and given to Major Green , Ton 's great uncle , who was Cooks astronomer. Torn Green had the license of the Ar1 Hotel as well . In June 87 he was licensee of the Imperial Hotel standing in 2'/2 ac. of land in t Asaph s ) Thomas John Gen of Spread age, Sydenham and Lylt. d.
