They diss. part. and Watson and Johnston cared on there independent e Gray staite d a blacksmiths and foundry business in Temuka adl in '67 had the first blast furnace in S. Canty. He could make castings up to b. ct.. This was a great boon to local farm ers who , up to them, had had to send broken castings to Ch.Ch. He was elected to the Geraldine Dist. Local Protection League. Sept. 67. ( This was at the time that the Timaru + Gladstone Dist. Bd. Bill was before the Gen. Ass.) He was the first foundry man to make a screw down litter press in the Province , Aug. 72. He was the first chair man of the Temuka Town Bd. , 84. Temuka + Arowhenua were not fused till '99 and the Mayor was J. T. Hayhurst. marr. at Temuka by Rev. L.L. Brown 25.1.65 Margt. Brown. He was a director Was dyke Sale ands '84 LT. 27.8.66 : 9.9.67 ; 20.9.67 : 27 .8.72 : 10.11.84 Tin. Her.
