Marks/Inscriptions: F. 318 Francis, Henry John (1848-96 ) was born in Essex the eldest son of John Pery Gunn Francis. He joined the N.Z. Railways and was first stationed at Winslow ; then he was for 14 years stationmaster at Amberley. He was a Mason + Odd fellow. He was a church warden of Holy Innocents Church, Amberley. He had just des patched the North train when a blood end burst in his head. He d. soon after June 96 marr. 10.6.78 at St Lukes Ch.Ch. by Rev. W. a . Pascoe Rose b. 58 3' dau. Wm. Harris of Ch.
