Marks/Inscriptions: Durey, John (1833 -1920) was the second son of Geo. Durey of Great Chart. Kent and carme out with his parents by the Sir Geo. Seymour in 1850. He helped his father on the farm at Ricc. He was the first of the two brothers to marry ; both of them married daus. of Geo Warden, wheel right of Colombo St. He and his brother were both vestry men of St Pauls , Papanui. He was elected to the Harewood Rd. Sch. Com m. Oct. 72 He and his wife celebrated ther golden wedding. His brother George was his best man. mars 8.3.59 at St. Peters, Rice by Rev. C.
