He was a Prov. Govt Scholar 74-6 : in '79 Jimi Civ. Scholar: Exhibition Canty Coll. '80: in 1 senior mi. Scholar in English + Maths : in 82 exhibit oner ie French + Political Science : in '83 B.R. ; '84 M.H with Honors in Poll. Science , Latin + Eng. he played for Canty Coll. 2v." he was capt. of the Canty X1 v. Wgtn in '91. In '90 he was a football selector for Promenade matches. He was member + founder of the ChCh Amate Orchestral Soc. He was the first gradually of Canty. Coll to be elected to the Bd. of Governors He was a fellow + examiner of N.Z. m.v. He became a barrister + solicitor in '87. He went to Marton in '93 and joined a solicitor , T.R. Cash. He moved in 1903 to Wanganui and dia a great deal for the Wanganui Art Gallery. He was Pres. of the N.Z. Boxing Council. member of the Executio N.Z. Trotting Conference; 1910- , Pres. North Is. Bands Assoc. He was andi tor for various musical Societies in Wanganui : original member of comm. Sargeant art Galley. , Mice. PRes. Wanganui Art + Crafts Soc . He founded the Canty Coll. magi nic. member Senate N.R. . Wii. 99-1912 . He was an accomplished orator, a pianist. ond dor Fist Pres. of Rotary in Wanganui .
